Cognitive Health
LESCA is interested in slowing down the cognitive decline associated with normal ageing. Particularly, LESCA is looking to improve executive functions such as divided attention or inhibition, by cognitive training exercises.
Physical Health
LESCA is also interested in the impact that physical training can have on the quality of life of older adults. LESCA evaluates the effect of physical activity through aerobic exercise, strength training or stretching.
Multidisciplinary Approach
LESCA uses a multidisciplinary approach where both cognitive and physical health are studied. This type of approach allows for a fuller understanding of the repercussions of ageing in all its complexity and offers more appropriate ways to slow it down.
